Rated among the top 10 zoos in the U.S., the cageless Miami MetroZoo is five times larger than the average U.S. zoo with 300 acres showcasing more than 1,300 animals, representing over 400 species. Special exhibits include the largest Asian aviary in the U.S. and Dr. Wilde’s World, an indoor gallery of discovery where children and adults alike have an opportunity for a close encounter with some of the animals. Visitors can enjoy an elevated monorail, safari cycle rentals, paddle boat rides, a unique wildlife carousel, guided tram tours, behind-the-scenes zookeeper tours, animal feeding encounters, exotic animal presentations, and much more. Miami MetroZoo is an educational, entertaining, and extraordinary adventure for all ages.
The Miami Zoo is one of the best zoos in the Southeast; however, if you are going to be in the Central Florida Area Sea World Orlando, which is a huge marine zoo, and Animal Kingdom which is Disney’s zoo, are two of the best in the entire world.
