Miami’s flagship museum presents international art of the 20th and 21st centuries to stimulate your imagination and inspire new ways of seeing and thinking. The Miami Art Museum is at the very center of one of the world’s most vibrant cities, bringing international art to life through world-class exhibitions, programs, and collections that the magazine Art in America called “quintessential Miami.”
MAM’s exhibition program, one of the most ambitious in the United States, is the primary expression of its curatorial viewpoint, and furthers Miami’s growing national reputation as a leading center for the arts. MAM looks at international art from the perspective of the Americas and the growing tendency to cross borders, bringing together different cultural traditions. The museum shares the bold Philip Johnson–designed Miami-Dade Cultural Center with the Miami-Dade Public Library and The Historical Museum of Southern Florida.
Note: Sundays are free to the public. Third Thursday is JAM at MAM, happy hour with an artful twist, open until 8:30 pm. Parking is in the Cultural Center Garage with museum validation.
